What’s Your Emergency

Injured Cats

If you find an injured or sick cat, please stay calm and avoid moving it unless it’s in immediate danger. Contact one of the local animal welfare organisations or a nearby vet for help. Provide clear information about the cat’s condition and location so rescuers can respond quickly.

Lost Cats

If you see a cat that appears lost, injured or in distress, please post a clear photo of the animal in one of the groups listed below.
Make sure to check whether the cat is wearing a collar or identification tag — if so, inspect both the front and back of the tag. Also note the exact location and time you found the cat, and whether you noticed any microchip or tag.

You want to give your cat to a care

If you are no longer able to care for your cat, please do not abandon it. There are several sanctuaries and organisations in Malta that can help.
Contact a registered animal shelter first to discuss your situation — they can guide you on the best and safest way to rehome your cat.
You can also post in local Facebook groups to look for a new, loving home, but always make sure the person adopting is responsible and willing to provide long-term care.
